Anbaric Transmission provides new approaches to the needs of our electric grid that go beyond those offered by traditional utilities.
Anbaric Transmission was founded in order to address one of the United States’ most pressing concerns: electricity availability. The principals, partners and investors behind Anbaric are developers of some of the most successful and innovative independent transmission projects in the country. We use smart grid technologies, such as HVDC systems, to solve challenging grid problems where easy solutions are not immediately apparent. Flexibility in how to approach the financing of a project allows Anbaric Transmission to develop projects that expand the electric grid in ways not done before.
Our innovative approach enabled us to successfully develop the Neptune Cable between New Jersey and Long Island, NY to deliver lower-cost power to an electrically-constrained area in 2007.
Currently we are pursuing projects that deliver renewable power or are otherwise “smart” investments for our electric grid to be prepared for a future of resource diversity and consumer-choice. Our projects will balance intermittent resources and enable greater reliance on the backbone of the electric grid as consumers participate in their own electric future by choosing green power or cutting back on use when the system is in high demand.
